WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Ford F-150. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The IPMA is a stand alone module located in the drivers side footwell. The IPMA communicates on the FD-CAN and on vehicles equipped with the ACC and collision warning system, the IPMA shares information with the CCM on dedicated CAN circuits to assist the driver in avoiding a collision. The IPMA uses the ethernet communication network for OTA. For more information on OTA, Refer to: Module Configuration - System Operation and Component Description .

The IPMA requires PMI when replaced. Refer to: Module Configuration .

NOTE: When a new IPMA is installed, a camera alignment DTC is stored until the IPMA camera alignment is successfully completed.
