Front Seat Upper Backrest Cover - Vehicles With: Max Recline Seats: Removal

Remove the front seat. Refer to: Front Seat .
Remove the front seat backrest blower motor. Refer to: Front Seat Backrest Blower Motor .
With multi-contour seats
1. Disconnect the front seat upper backrest heater mat electrical connector.
2. Detach the front seat upper backrest heater mat wiring harness retainer.

Without multi-contour seats
1. Disconnect the front seat upper backrest heater mat electrical connector.
2. Detach the front seat upper backrest heater mat wiring harness retainers.

All seats
Separate the front seat upper backrest and the front seat backrest blower motor vent bags.
1. Release the retainers.
2. Separate the front seat upper backrest and the front seat backrest blower motor vent bags.

Pull the front seat upper backrest cover assembly out.

Remove the front seat upper backrest cover assembly screws.

Remove the front seat upper backrest cover assembly.
1. Release the retainers and separate the front seat upper backrest cover from the front seat backrest cover.
2. Remove the front seat upper backrest cover assembly.

1. Release the front seat upper backrest cover hook-and-loop retainers.
2. Position the front seat upper backrest cover side flaps aside.
3. Position the front seat upper backrest cover aside.

Untuck the front seat upper backrest cover retainers and remove the front seat upper backrest cover assembly support.

NOTE: This step is necessary only when installing a new component.
1. Invert the front seat backrest cover.
2. NOTE: Use care when separating the front seat upper backrest cover from the hook-and-loop strips, or the hook-and-loop strips can be torn from the front seat upper backrest foam.
  
  Release the hook-and-loop strip.
