Front Seat Power Lumbar Assembly - Vehicles Without: Multi-Contour Seats: Removal

NOTE: Driver seat shown, passenger seat similar.

Regular cab 

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to: Front Seat .

    SuperCab and SuperCrew 

  2. Move the front seat to the full upward position.

  3. Depower the SRS. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering .

    All seats 

  4. Detach the front seat electrical connector retainers and position the front seat wiring harnesses aside.

  5. Detach the front seat backrest cover straps and position the front seat backrest cover aside.

  6. Detach the front seat backrest cover lower J-clip.

  7. NOTE: To install, gradually alternate the left and right front seat backrest cover zippers to prevent damage to the seat backrest cover.

    1. Unzip the front seat backrest cover.
    2. Lift the front seat backrest cover back flap.
    3. Detach the front seat backrest cover retainer from the front seat backrest frame.

    1. Disconnect the front seat backrest heater mat electrical connector.
    2. Detach the front seat backrest wiring harness electrical connector retainer and position aside.
    3. Detach the front seat backrest heater mat wiring harness retainer.

  8. Remove the front seat power lumbar assembly.

    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    2. Release the middle J-hooks.
    3. Release the lower J-hooks.
    4. Release the upper J-hooks.
