Front Seat Cushion Adjuster - Vehicles With: Multi-Contour Seats: Removal

Passenger seat

NOTE: The OCS (occupant classification system) components (seat cushion foam, OCS (occupant classification system) bladder with OCSM (occupant classification system module) and front seat cushion adjuster) are calibrated to each other and serviced as an assembly. The OCS (occupant classification system) service kit components are not to be installed separately. If a new OCS (occupant classification system) or OCS (occupant classification system) components are needed, a new OCS (occupant classification system) service kit must be installed. A new passenger seat cushion cover and the heater mat can be installed separately.

NOTE: The front passenger seat cushion SCMH (passenger multi-contour seat module) is part of the front seat cushion adjuster and is serviced as an assembly.

Remove the OCS. Refer to: Occupant Classification System (OCS) Sensor - Vehicles With: Multi-Contour Seats .
Driver seat

NOTE: The driver seat cushion SCMG (driver multi-contour seat module) is part of the front seat cushion adjuster and is serviced as an assembly.
NOTE: This step is necessary only when installing a new component.

NOTE: The PMI (programmable module installation) process must begin with the current SCMG (driver multi-contour seat module) installed. If the current SCMG (driver multi-contour seat module) does not respond to the diagnostic scan tool, the tool may prompt for As-Built Data as part of the repair.

Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the SCMG following the on-screen instructions.
Remove the front seat cushion cover and foam as an assembly. Refer to: Front Seat Cushion Cover - Vehicles With: Multi-Contour Seats .
Separate the driver seat cushion SCMG (driver multi-contour seat module) from the front seat cushion.
1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. Detach the wiring harness retainers.
3. Separate the driver seat cushion SCMG (driver multi-contour seat module) from the front seat cushion.
4. Compress/squeeze the hose end fitting.
5. Disconnect the hose.

2. Lift the front seat cushion adjuster.

Remove the front seat cushion adjuster while routing the driver seat cushion SCMG (driver multi-contour seat module) through the front seat track.
