Front Seat Backrest Blower Motor: Removal

NOTE: Driver seat shown, passenger seat similar.
NOTE: Front seat shown removed from vehicle for clarity.
  1. Position the front seat to access the front seat wiring harnesses.

  2. Depower the SRS. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering .
  3. Detach the front seat electrical connector retainers and position the front seat wiring harnesses aside.

  4. Detach the front seat backrest cover straps and position the front seat backrest cover aside.

  5. Release the front seat backrest cover J-clip.

  6. NOTE: To install, gradually alternate the left and right front seat backrest cover zippers to prevent damage to the front seat backrest cover.

    1. Unzip the front seat backrest cover.
    2. Lift the front seat backrest cover back flap.
    3. Detach the front seat backrest cover retainer from the front seat backrest frame.

    With max recline seats 

  7. Position the front seat backrest cover up.

  8. Release the hook-and-loop retainer and position the front seat upper backrest cover aside.

    All seats 

    1. Detach and disconnect the front seat backrest blower motor electrical connector.
    2. Detach the retainer and position the front seat backrest blower motor wiring harness aside.
    3. Detach the front seat backrest blower motor strap J-hooks.

  9. NOTE: Use care when detaching the front seat backrest blower motor retaining clips from the vent bag or the vent bag may tear from the front seat backrest foam.
    NOTE: Front seat backrest blower motor without max recline seats shown, with max recline seats similar.

    Remove the front seat backrest blower motor.

    1. Detach the J-hook.
    2. Detach the retaining clips.
