Front Head Restraint Guide Sleeve: Removal

NOTE: Driver seat shown, passenger seat similar.

Front seats with audio system 

  1. Remove the front head restraint. Refer to: Front Head Restraint - Vehicles With: Audio System .

    Front seats without audio system or police package 

  2. Remove the front head restraint.

    1. Depress the locking tabs.
    2. Remove the front head restraint.

    Front seats with police package 

  3. Remove the front head restraint.

    1. Insert a 1.27 mm (0.050 inch) hex key, push in and release the front head restraint guide sleeve internal locking spring.
    2. Depress the locking tab.
    3. Remove the front head restraint.

    All seats 

  4. NOTE: Follow the unique instructions or graphics for this step in installation.

    Remove the head restraint guide sleeve(s).

    1. Release the tab. Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver
    2. Remove the front head restraint guide sleeve.
