Front Center Seat Cushion Cover: Removal

WARNING: The following procedure describes critical repair steps required for correct seat component installation. Follow all notes and steps carefully. Do not place any objects between the seat components and the body of the vehicle, nor any objects within a joint internal to the seat structure. Failure to follow step instructions may result in incorrect operation of the seat components and increases the risk of serious personal injury.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the front center seat. Refer to: Front Center Seat .

    SuperCab and SuperCrew 

  2. Remove the front center seat rear cup holder assembly.

    1. Release the retainers and pull the front seat rear cup holder assembly out.
    2. Disconnect the auxiliary power point and the USB electrical connectors.

    1. Disconnect the PATS center antenna.
    2. Detach the front center seat wiring harness retainer.
    3. Detach the front center seat wiring harness retainer.
    4. Detach the front center seat wiring harness retainers.

    All vehicles 

  3. Lift the front center seat cushion.

    1. Release the front center seat cushion latch.
    2. Lift the front center seat cushion.

  4. If equipped. Remove the front center seat cup holder.

  5. Remove the screws and the front center seat storage tray.

  6. Lower the front center seat cushion.

  7. Release the front center seat latch and fold the front center seat backrest down.

    Regular cab 

  8. Remove the front center seat backrest latch cover.

  9. Remove the screws, release the retaining clip and remove the front center seat RH side shield.

  10. Remove the screws, release the retaining clips and remove the front center seat LH side shield.

  11. Release the seat latch and raise the front center seat backrest up.

  12. If equipped. Lift the front center seat armrest storage compartment lid.

  14. Remove the screws, release the retaining clip and remove the front center seat RH side shields.

  16. Release the front center seat latch and raise the front center seat backrest up.

    All vehicles 

  17. Remove the front center seat cushion pivot bolts.

    Torque

    : 145 lb.in (16.4 Nm)

  18. Release the LH side of the front center seat cushion from the cushion base and remove the front center seat cushion.

    1. Lift the front center seat cushion cover over the front center seat cushion latch catch.
    2. Detach the front center seat cushion cover tabs.

  19. Release the J-hook and position the front center seat cushion cover upward.

  20. Release the hook-and-loop retainer and position the front center seat cushion cover strap aside.

  21. NOTE: Use care when separating the seat cushion trim cover from the hook-and-loop strip or the hook-and-loop strip may be torn from the seat cushion foam.

    Release the hook-and-loop strip and position the cushion cover upward.

  22. Remove the front center seat cushion cover.
