Front Center Seat Backrest Cover - Regular Cab: Removal

The following procedure describes critical repair steps required for correct seat component installation. Follow all notes and steps carefully. Do not place any objects between the seat components and the body of the vehicle, nor any objects within a joint internal to the seat structure. Failure to follow step instructions may result in incorrect operation of the seat components and increases the risk of serious personal injury.
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Remove the front center seat. Refer to: Front Center Seat .
- Lift the front center seat cushion.
- Release the front center seat cushion latch.
- Lift the front center seat cushion.
- If equipped. Remove the front center seat cup holder.
- Remove the screws and the front center seat storage tray.
- Lower the front center seat cushion.
- Release the front center seat latch and fold the front center seat backrest down.
- Remove the front center seat backrest latch cover.
- Remove the screws, release the retaining clip and remove the front center seat RH side shield.
- Remove the screws, release the retaining clips and remove the front center seat LH side shield.
- Release the front center seat latch and raise the front center seat backrest up.
- Remove the front head restraint guide sleeves. Refer to: Front Head Restraint Guide Sleeve .
- Remove the front center seat backrest.
- Remove the stop bolt.
Torque
: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
- Remove the pivot bolt.
Torque
: 35 lb.ft (47.5 Nm)
- Remove the front center seat backrest latch upper bolts.
Torque
: 35 lb.ft (47.5 Nm)
- Remove the stop bolt.
- Remove the front center seat cup holder insert.
- Remove the front center seat cup holder.
- Remove the screw.
- Release the retaining clips.
Seats with storage tray
- Remove the insert.
- Remove the front center seat armrest storage tray.
- Remove the screws.
- Release the retainers.
- Remove the front center seat storage tray.

NOTE: Front center seat backrest with seatbelt retractor shown, front center seat backrest without seatbelt retractor similar.
Release the front center seat backrest cover from the J-hooks and remove the front center backrest cover.
Seats without storage tray
- Position the front center seat backrest cover flap aside.
- Release the cover from the J-hooks and position the backrest cover aside.

NOTE: Use care when separating the front center seat backrest trim cover from the hook-and-loop strip or the hook-and-loop strip may be torn from the front seat backrest foam.
Release the hook-and-loop strip and remove the front center seat backrest cover.
