Front Center Seat Backrest - SuperCab SuperCrew: Removal

WARNING: The following procedure describes critical repair steps required for correct seat component installation. Follow all notes and steps carefully. Do not place any objects between the seat components and the body of the vehicle, nor any objects within a joint internal to the seat structure. Failure to follow step instructions may result in incorrect operation of the seat components and increases the risk of serious personal injury.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the front center seat. Refer to: Front Center Seat .
  2. Remove the front center seat rear cup holder assembly.

    1. Release the retainers and pull the front seat rear cup holder assembly out.
    2. Disconnect the auxiliary power point and the USB electrical connectors.

    1. Disconnect the PATS center antenna.
    2. Detach the front center seat wiring harness retainer.
    3. Detach the front center seat wiring harness retainer.
    4. Detach the front center seat wiring harness retainers.

  3. Lift the front center seat cushion

    1. Release the front center seat cushion latch.
    2. Lift the front center seat cushion.

  4. If equipped. Remove the front center seat cup holder.

  5. Remove the screws and the front center seat storage tray.

  6. Lower the front center seat cushion.

  7. Release the seat latch and fold the front center seat backrest down.

  8. Remove the front head restraint guide sleeves. Refer to: Front Head Restraint Guide Sleeve .
  9. If equipped. Position the front center seat armrest storage compartment lid up.

  10. Remove the front center seat backrest latch cover.

  11. If equipped. Position the front center seat armrest storage compartment lid down.

  12. Remove the screws, release the retaining clip and remove the front center seat RH side shields.

  13. Remove the screws, release the retaining clips and remove the front center seat LH side shield.

  14. Release the front center seat backrest latch and raise the front center seat backrest up.

  15. Remove the front center seatbelt anchor bolt.

    Torque

    : 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)

  16. Remove the front center seat backrest.

    1. Remove the stop bolt.

      Torque

      : 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

    2. Remove the pivot bolt.

      Torque

      : 33 lb.ft (45 Nm)

    3. Remove the front center seat backrest latch upper bolts.

      Torque

      : 59 lb.ft (80 Nm)
