Active Grille Shutter Actuator: Removal

Upper active grille shutter actuator

Remove the radiator grille. Refer to: Radiator Grille .
Release the clips to remove and discard the linkage.

- Release the tabs at the edges
- Remove the drive vanes.

NOTE: The upper active grille shutter actuator is not interchangeable with the lower active grill shutter actuator. Do not attempt to replace one actuator with the other.
- Remove the screw.
- Release the tab and remove the upper active grille shutter actuator

Lower active grille shutter actuator
Remove the front bumper. Refer to: Front Bumper .
NOTE: The lower active grille shutter actuator is not interchangeable with the upper active grill shutter actuator. Do not attempt to replace one actuator with the other.

Remove the lower active grille shutter actuator.
