- Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The TCCM provides power and ground to the DCIWE motor to engage or disengage the hub on each side. The IWE position sensor on each side provides a feedback signal to the TCCM indicating the clutch ring position as a function of cam rotation.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition TCCM C06A1:77 Wheel Hub Disconnect Motor "A" Control: Commanded Position Not Reachable The LHIWE position sensor did not indicate the desired position within the calibrated time limit after IWE engagement or disengagement was initiated. TCCM C06A2:77 Wheel Hub Disconnect Motor "B" Control: Commanded Position Not Reachable The RHIWE position sensor did not indicate the desired position within the calibrated time limit after IWE engagement or disengagement was initiated. - IWE position sensor faults
- Debris or damage preventing IWE actuation
- IWE
- J1 REVIEW TCCM (TRANSFER CASE CONTROL MODULE) DTC (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE)
- Review the TCCMCMDTC.
Are any IWE position sensor DTC (C06A3 or C06A4) present?
Yes RESOLVE all IWE position sensor faults first. No GO to J2 - J2 INSPECT IWE (INTEGRATED WHEEL END) FOR DEBRIS PREVENTING MOVEMENT
- Visually inspect the IWE for debris (dirt, mud, stones, etc.) preventing movement
Is any debris present?
Yes REMOVE the debris. Retest the system for normal operation. No INSTALL a new IWE. REFER to: Integrated Wheel End (IWE) .
