Rear Brake Outer Flexible Hose: Removal

NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.
NOTE: If the fluid is spilled on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Right hand (RH) and left hand (LH) outer brake hoses 

  1. Activate the brake service mode. Refer to: Brake Service Mode Activation and Deactivation .
  2. Remove the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
  3. Remove the bolt and disconnect the brake hose. Discard the washers.

    Torque 

    : 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)

    1. Detach the EPB wiring retainers and unclip the brake hose.
    2. Remove the outer brake hose bracket bolt.

      Torque 

      : 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

    Right hand (RH) outer brake hose 

  4. Detach the brake tube from the 2 axle clips, disconnect the brake tube fitting and remove the RH rear outer brake flexible hose/tube assembly.

    Torque 

    : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

    Left hand (LH) outer brake hose 

  5. Disconnect the brake tube fitting and remove the LH rear outer brake flexible hose/tube assembly.

    Torque 

    : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
