Rear Brake Disc: Removal

NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Activate the brake service mode. Refer to: Brake Service Mode Activation and Deactivation .
- Remove the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
- Disconnect the EPB actuator motor electrical connector and position aside the wiring harness.

NOTE: Do not pry in the caliper sight hole to retract the pistons as this can damage the pistons and boots.NOTE: Do not allow the brake caliper and anchor plate assembly to hang from the brake hose or damage to the hose can occur.
Remove the anchor plate bolts and position the brake caliper and anchor plate assembly aside. Discard the bolts.
Torque
M16 Bolt : 181 lb.ft (245 Nm)

Remove the anchor plate bolts and position the brake caliper and anchor plate assembly aside. Discard the bolts.

M18 Bolt : 258 lb.ft (350 Nm)

- Remove the brake disc.
