Wheel Hubs and Bearings - Overview

Wheel hubs and bearings 3/4 float axle shaft assembly consists of:

Removable wheel hub from axle shaft assembly.
Removable wheel hub by removal of the wheel end hub bolt.
Removable shaft assembly and inboard washer.

The 3/4 float rear axle features disc brakes. The disc brake caliper assembly should be removed first and then remove the wheel hub and shaft assembly. The wheel hub can be separated from the axle shaft once it is removed from the vehicle.

The hub and bearing assembly is serviced as a unit.

The wheel hub is pressed onto the axle shaft and inboard washer and is retained by the wheel end hub bolt.
