Check

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
Remove the differential fluid fill plug.

If draining is needed. Using a general equipment, remove as much fluid as possible from the RDU. Use the General Equipment: Fluid Suction Gun

Check and top off the differential with clean differential gear lubricant. The differential gear lubricant level should be within 6mm (1/4 in.) from the fluid level fill plug opening. Refer to: Specifications .

Torque: 38 lb.ft (51 Nm)
