Pinpoint Test Ab : U0233:00

  1. AB1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN

    • Ignition ON.

    • Verify there is an observable symptom present.

    Is an observable symptom present? 

    Yes  GO to  AB2
    No  The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.

  2. AB2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out a network test.

    Does the SODR pass the network test? 

    Yes  GO to  AB3
    No  REFER to: Communications Network .

  3. AB3 CHECK FOR SODR (SIDE OBSTACLE DETECTION CONTROL MODULE RH) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the SODR self-test.

    Are any voltage related Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present? 

    Yes  REFER to: Blind Spot Information System .
    No  GO to  AB4

  4. AB4 RECHECK THE PDM (PASSENGER DOOR MODULE) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    NOTE: If new modules were installed prior to the DTC being set, the module configuration may be incorrectly set during PMI or the PMI may not have been carried out.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the PDM self-test.

    Is DTC U0233:00 still present? 

    Yes  GO to  AB5
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.

  5. AB5 CHECK FOR DTC (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE) U0233 SET IN OTHER MODULES

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Ignition ON.

    • Wait 30 seconds.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, retrieve the Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs) from all modules.

    Is DTC U0233 set in other modules? 

    Yes  INSTALL a new SODR. REFER to: Side Obstacle Detection Control Module .
    No  INSTALL a new PDM. REFER to: Passenger Door Module (PDM) .
