Axle Shaft: Removal

Remove the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
Remove the rear brake disc. Refer to: Brake Disc .
Remove the wheel speed sensor bolt and position aside the wheel speed sensor.
Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)

Remove the differential housing cover. Refer to: Differential Housing Cover .
1. Remove and discard the differential pinion shaft locking bolt.
  Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
2. Remove the differential pinion shaft.

1. Slide the axle shaft inward.
2. Remove the axle shaft retaining washer.
