Pinpoint Test K: U0559:56, U2100:00, U3000:04

  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) - System Operation and Component Description .

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    BCM U0559:56 Invalid Data Received From Radio Transceiver: Invalid/Incompatible Configuration This DTC sets due to improper PMI procedures.
    RTM U2100:00 Initial Configuration Not Complete: No Sub Type Information This DTC is present when a new RTM is installed, or when the RTM is incorrectly flashed or reconfigured.
    RTM U3000:04 Control Module: System Internal Failures This DTC is present when a new RTM is installed, or when the RTM is incorrectly flashed or reconfigured.

    Possible Sources 

    • Network communication concern
    • RTM

  2. K1 CHECK VEHICLE HISTORY

    • Check vehicle history for recent service action with the RTM.

    Were there any recent RTM service actions? 

    Yes  Perform the PMI procedure as directed by the scan tool. REFER to: Module Programming .
    No  GO to  K2
  3. K2 CHECK FOR CORRECT RTM OPERATION

    • Disconnect and inspect the RTM connector.

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (install new connector or terminal - clean module pins)
      • damaged or bent pins - install new terminals or pins
      • pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary

    • Reconnect the RTM connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly.

    • Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), GSB, SSM or FSA.If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions.If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new RTM REFER to: Radio Transceiver Module (RTM) .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connectors or pin issues.
