Fuel Lines: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to: Fuel System Pressure Release .
Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Cables - 3.5L V6 PowerBoost (CN) .
Remove the engine appearance cover retainers, release the engine appearance cover from the rear retainers and then remove the engine appearance cover.
Torque

: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

- If equipped, remove bolts and the splash sheild.

  : 53 lb.in (6 Nm)

- Separate the fuel supply line from the bracket on the upper transmission bell housing.
- Disconnect the fuel supply line quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

Release the retainer clip on the rear of the transmission and position aside the fuel supply line.

- Disconnect the fuel supply line quick connect coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
- Release the retainer clips.
- Remove the fuel supply line from the underside of the vehicle.
