Pinpoint Test E: Lost Communication With SASM Concern
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Ford F-150. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
With the ignition ON, the SASM sends messages to the SECM over a private CAN. If the SECM does not receive these messages within a certain time frame, the SECM sets a DTC.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Condition |
|---|---|---|
| SECM U0126:00 | Lost Communication With Steering Angle Sensor Module: No Sub Type Information | Sets when the SECM detects any of the SASM messages are missing. This can be due to a SASM failure, a circuit failure on the private CAN or an excessive load on the network. |
