Parking Brake Shoes: Removal

NOTE:
Vehicle with single rear wheels (SRW) shown in illustration. The wheel hub is removed from illustrations for clarity. It is not necessary to remove the wheel hub.
- Remove the brake disc. REFER to: Brake Disc .

- Remove the parking brake shoe adjuster.
- Remove the spring.
- Remove the spring.
- Remove the parking brake shoe hold down springs and pins.
- Remove the spring and the parking brake shoes.
- Using wire brush and the specified cleaner, clean the parking brake shoe contact points.

: Motorcraft® Metal Brake Parts Cleaner / PM-4-A, PM-4-B
- Using specified grease, lubricate the parking brake shoe contact points.
