DTC P208A (DCU) - Reductant Pump Control Circuit Open Load

DTC DESCRIPTION P208A (DCU) - REDUCTANT PUMP CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN LOAD

Description:  This DTC sets when the reductant pump assembly voltage is greater than or less than a calibrated limit for a calibrated amount of time.
Possible Causes: 
  • RDPC circuit open
  • RDPC circuit short to ground
  • RDPC circuit short to voltage
  • VPWR circuit open
  • VPWR circuit short to ground
  • VPWR circuit short to voltage
  • Reductant pump assembly open
  • Reductant pump assembly short to ground
  • Reductant pump assembly short to voltage
Diagnostic Aids:  The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle, while carrying out the appropriate drive cycle procedure, until the system warning message has cleared from the instrument panel cluster (IPC) message center. Refer to DRIVE CYCLES for additional information.
