PINPOINT TEST RC: Particulate Pressure Sensor: Introduction
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 34 other vehicles, including the 2019 Lincoln Navigator, 2019 Lincoln Nautilus, 2019 Lincoln MKZ, 2019 Lincoln MKT, and 2019 Lincoln MKC. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING:
Manual regeneration of the particulate filter causes the exhaust gas to quickly get very hot. Initiate a manual regeneration only when the vehicle is on the ground with the area around the tailpipe free of people, obstructions, foreign material or other items. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
NOTE:
Regeneration may occur during normal operation. During regeneration, diagnostic procedures may display biased values. If a regeneration occurs during diagnostic procedures, allow the process to complete before continuing diagnostics.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- particulate filter pressure bank 1, sensor 1 (9G824)
- particulate filter pressure bank 2, sensor 1 (9G824)
- harness circuits: PFP11, PFP21, SIGRTN and VREF
- PCM (12A650)
