PINPOINT TEST DK: Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor: Introduction
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 34 other vehicles, including the 2019 Lincoln Navigator, 2019 Lincoln Nautilus, 2019 Lincoln MKZ, 2019 Lincoln MKT, and 2019 Lincoln MKC. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
After clearing an APP sensor diagnostic trouble code (DTC) to verify a repair or an intermittent concern, apply the accelerator pedal before carrying out the self-test. Take 10 seconds to carry out a full sweep of the accelerator pedal from fully released to fully applied and back to fully released
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- APP sensor (9F836)
- harness circuits: APP1, APP2, APPRTN1, APPRTN2, APPVREF1, APPVREF2, VPWR and GND
- PCM (12A650)
