Pinpoint Tests BZ: Excessive Steering Wheel Play - Electronic Steering Actuator EPAS

- BZ1: RETRIEVE ALL PSCM DTCS
- Ignition ON, engine OFF.
Carry out the PSCM self-test.
- Does the scan tool communicate with the PSCM and retrieve any DTCs?
Yes No RECORD all PSCM DTCs and REFER to the PSCM DTC Chart. If the scan tool cannot communicate with the PSCM, GO to PINPOINT TEST A.
If the scan tool can communicate with the PSCM and there are no DTCs present, DIAGNOSE the HPAS system, REFER to the Power Steering article.
For all others, No fault found. - Ignition ON, engine OFF.
