DTC DESCRIPTION P117B - EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR CORRELATION (BANK 1)
| Description: The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the 4 exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensors at key ON, engine OFF, following a 6-hour soak to determine if a concern is present. This PCM compares the values of the 4 EGT sensors to verify the sensors correlate to each other. The test fails when the temperature difference at one of the EGT sensors is greater than 50°C (122°F). | |||
Possible Causes:
|
|||
| Diagnostic Aids: Monitor the EGT PIDs to determine which one of the 4 sensors does not correlate. | |||
| Application | Key On Engine Off | Key On Engine Running | Continuous Memory |
| All | GO to PINPOINT TEST RC . | ||
