P0345 - Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit (Bank 2)

DTC DESCRIPTION P0345 - CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR A CIRCUIT (BANK 2)

Description:	This DTC sets when the CMP21 circuit signal cannot be detected. For additional camshaft position (CMP) sensor location information, refer to Engine Control Components.
Possible Causes:	CMP21 circuit open CMP21 circuit short to ground CMP21 circuit short to voltage SIGRTN circuit open CMP21 circuit shorted to other CMP circuits (2 or more CMP sensor systems) Camshaft timing incorrectly set Camshaft position sensor trigger wheel out of alignment Damaged CMP sensor shielding Camshaft position bank 2 sensor 1 (CMP21) incorrectly installed Continuous oil flow to the VCT piston chamber Erratic camshaft position due to low oil pressure Oil flow restriction in the oil passages or the VCT valve body Damaged CMP21 sensor
Diagnostic Aids:	Harness routing, harness alterations, incorrect shielding, or electrical interference from other systems may have an intermittent impact on the CMP signal. Diagnose any base engine concerns related to the engine oil pressure or engine timing. Refer to the appropriate Engine System, Oil Pressure Test article, to check the engine oil pressure. Refer to the appropriate Engine article, to check the engine timing and VCT phasers.
