Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Ford F-150. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The EBB contains several hydraulic valves, hydraulic pressure sensors, a linear actuator and a pump motor. These components work in conjunction to provide the force necessary to bring the vehicle to a stop. The ABS module monitors these components for internal faults. If a fault occurs which impacts the base braking system, the ABS module sets one or more DTCs and illuminates the red brake warning indicator.

PPT CO PCM DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
P0555 Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit This DTC sets due to differences between the brake booster mounted vacuum sensor signal and the PCM calculated vacuum level. This DTC does not illuminate any warning indicators nor are there any associated service messages.
P0556 Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance This DTC sets due to differences between the brake booster mounted vacuum sensor signal and the PCM calculated vacuum level. This DTC does not illuminate any warning indicators nor are there any associated service messages.
P0557 Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit Low This DTC sets due to differences between the brake booster mounted vacuum sensor signal and the PCM calculated vacuum level. This DTC does not illuminate any warning indicators nor are there any associated service messages.
P0558 Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit High This DTC sets due to differences between the brake booster mounted vacuum sensor signal and the PCM calculated vacuum level. This DTC does not illuminate any warning indicators nor are there any associated service messages.
P0559 Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit Intermittent This DTC sets due to differences between the brake booster mounted vacuum sensor signal and the PCM calculated vacuum level. This DTC does not illuminate any warning indicators nor are there any associated service messages.
P05FF Brake Pressure Sensor/Brake Pedal Position Sensor Correlation This DTC sets if the information from the brake pressure sensor and brake pedal position sensor do not match. This is most likely due to sensor concerns, wiring harness concerns or vehicle communication concerns.
