The high pressure fuel injection pump is gear driven by the camshaft gear and is located at the front of the engine. It increases the fuel pressure from approximately 414 kPa (70 psi) up to 250 MPa (36, 259 psi) (F-Series Super Duty) or 200 MPa (29, 007 psi) (all others) and delivers it to the fuel rails.
