Rear Brake Outer Flexible Hose: Removal

Make sure that all openings are sealed.
NOTE:
If the fluid is spilled on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.

Right hand (RH) and left hand (LH) outer brake hoses
- Remove the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire - Vehicles With: Single Rear Wheels . Refer to: Wheel and Tire - Vehicles With: Dual Rear Wheels .
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the brake hose. Discard the washers.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
Right hand (RH) outer brake hose

NOTE: Typical rear brake RH outer flexible hose shown in illustration.
- Detach the wheel speed sensor harness retainer.
- Detach the brake tube from the retainers.
- Remove the brake hose bracket bolt.
Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
- Disconnect the brake tube fitting and remove the RH brake outer flexible hose.
Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
Left hand (LH) outer brake hose

NOTE: Typical rear brake LH outer flexible hose shown in illustration.
- Detach the wheel speed sensor harness retainer.
- Remove the brake hose bracket bolt.
Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
- Disconnect the brake tube fitting and remove the LH brake outer flexible hose.
Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
