Rear Brake Caliper Support Bracket: Removal

All vehicles 

  1. Remove the parking brake shoes. Refer to: Parking Brake Shoes .

    Vehicles with single rear wheels (SRW) 

  2. Remove the wheel hub. Refer to: Wheel Hub - Vehicles With: Ford 10.5 Inch Ring Gear Refer to: Wheel Hub - Vehicles With: Ford 10.5 Inch Ring Gear

    All vehicles 

  3. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the parking brake shoe actuator lever.

  4. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the support bracket.

    F250, F350 

  5. Remove the bolt and position the wheel speed sensor aside.

    Torque: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)

  6. Remove the nuts and the brake caliper support bracket.

    Torque: 101 lb.ft (137 Nm)

    F450, F550 

  7. Remove the nuts and the brake caliper support bracket.

    Torque: 101 lb.ft (137 Nm)
