Roof Opening Panel Shield: Removal

  1. Remove the roof opening panel glass. Refer to: Roof Opening Panel Glass .
  2. Remove the trough assembly. Refer to: Trough Assembly .
  3. Using the switch, place the roof opening panel glass cable mechanisms in the glass open position.
  4. Slide the roof opening panel shield forward halfway.

  5. NOTE: The sub steps should be performed together as a single step.

    Disengage the LH front corner of the roof opening panel shield from the guide track.

    1. Pull up on the center of the roof opening panel shield for clearance.
    2. NOTE: The guide foot may remain on the roof opening panel shield or in the guide track. Reassemble as necessary for installation.

      Pull the LH front roof opening panel shield guide foot out and up from the guide rail to disengage the roof opening panel shield throughout from the track.

  6. NOTE: The sub steps should be performed as a single step.

    Remove the roof opening panel shield.

    1. Pull up at the one side of the roof opening panel shield.
    2. Carefully rotate the roof opening panel shield in a counter clockwise manner to disengage the remaining guide feet and remove the roof opening panel shield.
