Brake Master Cylinder: Removal

  1. If equipped with a secondary battery, remove the secondary battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray .
    1. If equipped, remove the caps.
    2. Detach the wiring harness retainers.
    3. Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor electrical connector and position the wiring harness aside.

    1. Disconnect the primary brake tube fitting.

      Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

    2. Disconnect the secondary brake tube fitting.

      Torque: 16 lb.ft (22 Nm)

  2. Remove the nuts and the brake master cylinder.

    Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
