Rear Seat Latch: Removal

NOTE: Use care when separating the seat cushion cover from the hook-and-loop strip or the hook-and-loop strip can be torn from the foam pad.
Open the outboard side of the cushion cover.
- Release the cushion lower J-clip.
- Release the hook-and-loop strip.
- Unzip and open the outboard side of the cushion cover.
Vehicles with inflatable seatbelts
- Remove the lower seatbelt retractor cover and the upper side shield.
- From behind the cover, remove the screw.
- Slide the retractor cover forward and remove.
- Slide the lower seatbelt through the cover.
- Remove the upper side shield and screw.
Vehicles without inflatable seatbelts
- Remove the outboard side shield screw and the side shield.
All vehicles
- Remove the outboard riser bolts and the outboard riser.
Torque: 24 lb.ft (32 Nm)
- Position the rear seat latch pull strap through the cushion cover trim pocket.
- Remove the bolt and the cushion latch assembly.
Torque: 24 lb.ft (32 Nm)
