Tailgate Molding: Removal

All vehicles 

1. Remove the screws from the tailgate liner.

   Torque: 28 lb.in (3.2 Nm)

5. Remove the push pin retainers.

6. Using a non-marring trim tool, disengage the retainers from the tailgate and remove the molding.

9. Remove the retainer nuts and washers.

   Torque: 36 lb.in (4.1 Nm)

10. NOTE: Platinum tailgate applique shown, all others similar.
    NOTE: Use care when disengaging push pins from tailgate to avoid damage to the applique.

    Using a non-marring trim tool, disengage the push pin retainers from the tailgate and remove the applique.
