PRB System

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Ford F-150. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The RBM module is located in the rear part of the center console. It is powered by BJB fuse F89 (30A) and grounded at G303. The RBM receives vehicle occupant input for the desired mode via MS-CAN from the IPC. The different modes are as follows:

The RBM controls the PRB position depending on occupant input as well as vehicle information data for automatic control. The RBM sets Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) to aid in system diagnostics.

The PRB system will reverse PRB direction if there is an object interfering with movement or if there is excessive resistance due to debris or corrosion.
