Glow Plug Wire: Installation

RH glow plug wire

Install the RH glow plug wire.

- Attach the wiring harness retainer.
- Connect the MAP electrical connector.

LH glow plug wire
- Install the LH glow plug wire and connect the bracket.
- Connect the CHT sensor electrical connector.

Position back the fuel pump mounting bracket and tighten the bolts.
Torque

: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

Position back the fuel tube and tighten the bolt.
Torque

: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

Both glow plug wires
Install the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .
Install the new oil filter.

Install a new O-ring seal and lubricate with clean engine oil.

: Motorcraft® SAE 5W-30 F-150 Diesel Motor Oil / XO-5W30-QFA (WSS-M2C214-B1)

Install the oil filter cap.
Torque

: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

Connect the electrical connectors.

Install the engine appearance cover bracket and tighten the retainers.
Torque

: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

Install the engine appearance cover.

Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
Check the engine oil level. Ensure the engine oil level is between Minimum and Maximum crosshatch on dipstick. If necessary fill the engine oil.
