Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor: Removal

  1. Remove the LH fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
  2. NOTE: Lubricate the O-ring seal prior to installing the oil level indicator tube.

    Remove the bolt and the stud bolt.

    Torque: Bolt: 89 lb.in (10 Nm) Stud bolt: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

  3. Disconnect the CKP sensor electrical connector and the harness pushpins. Remove the bolt and the CKP sensor cover. Position aside the oil level indicator tube.

    Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

  4. Remove the bolt and the CKP sensor.

    Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
