Cooling Fan Upper Shroud: Removal

WARNING:
Always allow the engine to cool before opening the cooling system. Do not unscrew the coolant pressure relief cap when the engine is operating or the cooling system is hot. The cooling system is under pressure; steam and hot liquid can come out forcefully when the cap is loosened slightly. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
NOTE:

- Remove the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
- WARNING: When releasing the cooling system pressure, cover the coolant expansion tank cap with a thick cloth.
Loosen the pressure relief cap.

- Using general tools, clamp the upper expansion tank hose. Use the General Equipment: Locking Pliers
- Release the clamp and disconnect the coolant hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
- Detach the retaining clip.
- Remove the bolts and position the degas bottle aside.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove the bolts and the glow plug module.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
- Detach the wiring harness pin-type retainers.
- Remove the bolts and the upper cooling fan shroud.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
