Transmission Fluid Cooler Coolant Hose: Removal

  1. Clamp off the coolant hoses. Use the General Equipment: Locking Pliers

  2. Follow the directions to release quick release coupling type 25. Disconnect the coolant tubes. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

  3. Remove the nut and position the transmission fluid cooler coolant tube aside.

    Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

  4. Remove the bolt and position the transmission fluid cooler coolant tube aside.

    Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

  5. Detach the coolant hose retainer.

  6. Detach the wiring harness retainers.

  7. Remove the sway bar bracket nuts and lower the front sway bar.

    Torque: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)

    • Follow the directions to release quick release coupling type 25. Remove the coolant tube. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

    • Release the clamp and remove the transmission fluid cooler coolant hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

    1. Bend the tabs up.
    2. Open the clamp.
    3. Separate the transmission fluid cooler coolant hoses.
