Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Pump - 5.0L 32V Ti-VCT: Removal

Remove the transmission fluid pan, gasket and filter. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Pan, Gasket and Filter .
Remove and discard the LH and RH catalytic converter nuts (W520514).

Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) vehicles
Remove the bolt and the LH isolator cap.

1. Using an adjustable stand and a wooden block support the transmission. Use the General Equipment: Wooden Block. Use the General Equipment: Vehicle/Axle Stands
2. Remove and discard the transmission support insulator bolts (5863).
3. Raise the rear of the transmission with the adjustable stand.

Remove the bolt and the transmission fluid auxiliary pump tube.

Remove the transmission fluid auxiliary pump tube seal.

Disconnect the transmission fluid auxiliary pump.

NOTE: A short 1/4" drive T-30 socket is required to remove the front pump bolts.

Remove the bolts and the transmission fluid auxiliary pump.
