Wastegate Control Actuator RH: Removal

NOTE:
The turbocharger compressor vanes can be damaged by even the smallest particles. When removing any turbocharger or engine air intake system component, ensure that no debris enters the system. Failure to do so may result in damage to the turbocharger.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe RH. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe RH .
- Remove the charge air cooler intake pipe - right side. Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Intake Pipe .
- Remove the charge air cooler tube bracket retainers, then position the charge air cooler tube bracket and coolant hoses out of the way.
- Remove the right front fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .

NOTE: Make note of orientation of the wastegate control actuator question mark upper linkage lever, to aid in proper installation.
Remove the wastegate control actuator lower jam nut and then disconnect the question mark top linkage lever from the wastegate control actuator.

NOTE: Make note of the orientation of the wastegate control actuator electrical connector, to aid in proper installation.
Disconnect the wastegate control actuator electrical connector.
- Remove the wastegate control actuator mounting retainers and washers, then remove the wastegate control actuator from the turbocharger.
