Intake Manifold: Removal

Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
Remove the engine appearance cover retainers, release the engine appearance cover from the rear retainers and then remove the engine appearance cover.

Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .
Loosen the clamp and position the throttle body intake pipe aside.

Disconnect the throttle body electrical connector and wiring harness retainer.

Remove the PCV tube. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING .

Disconnect the wire harness retainers from the intake manifold.

- Disconnect the fuel vapor tube to the intake manifold. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING .
- Disconnect the vacuum hose.

Disconnect the hose couplings at turbocharger inlet tube. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING .

- Disconnect the MAPT electrical connector.
- Disconnect the EVAP purge solenoid electrical connector and quick connect coupling. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING .
- Lift the EVAP purge valve off of the intake manifold mounting tab.

Remove the bolts and the intake manifold.

- Remove and discard the intake manifold gaskets.
- Clean and inspect all of the sealing surfaces of the cylinder heads and the intake manifold.
