Heater Hoses: Removal

Both hoses 

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
  3. Remove the RH fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
  4. Disconnect the quick connect hose fittings.

    Heater inlet hose 

  5. Disconnect the quick connect hose fitting.

  6. Follow the directions to release the quick release coupling type 25. Disconnect the EGR cooler tube. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

  7. Detach the coolant hose retainers.

    • Detach the coolant hose retainer.

    • Release the clamp and remove the heater inlet hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

    Heater outlet hose 

  8. Follow the directions to release the quick release coupling type 25. Disconnect the EGR hose. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

  9. Detach the coolant hose retainers.

  10. Release the clamps and remove the heater outlet hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
