Transmission Fluid Cooler - 3.0L Power Stroke Diesel: Removal

- With the vehicle in N, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- If equipped, remove the bolts, the retainer and the shield.
- Remove the transmission fluid tube secondary latches.

NOTE: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
Using the special tool, disconnect the transmission fluid cooler tubes from the transmission fluid cooler. Use Special Service Tool: 307-569 Disconnect Tool TOC Line (1/2).

Clamp and disconnect the transmission fluid cooler coolant hoses from the transmission fluid cooler. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp(s)
- Disconnect the harness retainers.
- Remove the bolts and the transmission fluid cooler.
