Ignition Coil-On-Plug: Installation

Inspect and replace any ignition coil-on-plugs that have rubber boots with cracks, rips or tears.

1. Install the ignition coil-on-plugs.
2. Install and tighten the ignition coil-on-plug studbolts.
  Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)

1. Push the wire harness side connector onto the ignition coil-on-plug connector until locked. A clicking sound will be heard when fully seated. Slide the red locking tab (CPA) toward the ignition coil-on-plug until a second clicking sound is heard.
2. Attach the RH ignition coil-on-plug harness retainer to the valve cover studbolt.
3. Attach the RH ignition coil-on-plug harness retainers to the ignition coil-on-plug studbolts.
4. Connect the RH CMP sensor electrical connectors.

2. Attach the LH ignition coil-on-plug harness retainers to the ignition coil-on-plug studbolts.

Install the engine appearance cover and then install and tighten the engine appearance cover retainers.
Torque: 42 lb.in (4.8 Nm)
