Coolant Outlet Connector: Installation

- Lubricate the inside and outside diameter of the grommet with clean engine coolant. Refer to: Specifications .
- Install the grommet.

NOTE: Verify the locating tab is aligned to the coolant outlet connector.
Connect the coolant inlet pipe.
- Place the coolant outlet connector and inlet pipe assembly into the intake valley. Verify the locator dowel is fully seated into the engine block.
- Install and tighten the fasteners. Connect the coolant hoses and install the hose clamps. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
Torque
: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Connect the coolant hose and install the hose clamp. Connect the knock sensor harness retainer to the fastener stud. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
- Install the coolant pump. Refer to: Coolant Pump .
- Install the direct injection fuel rail RH. Refer to: Direct Injection Fuel Rail RH .
- Install the direct injection fuel rail LH. Refer to: Direct Injection Fuel Rail LH .
