C-Pillar Trim Panel: Removal

Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: The seat is removed for clarity.NOTE: During installation, make sure to attach the scuff plate trim panels at the lower B-pillar trim panel first.
Release the clips and remove the rear door scuff plate trim panel.
- Position aside the rear door weatherstrip.
Vehicles without Inflatable Seatbelts
- Remove the bolt and the position aside the seatbelt.
Torque
: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
Vehicles with Inflatable Seatbelts

NOTE: Follow the unique instruction or graphic for this step in installation.
Open the seatbelt tongue cover.
- Push the seatbelt tongue lower cover to one side, lift and disengage that side of the cover.
- Push the seatbelt tongue lower cover to one side, lift and disengage that side of the cover.
- Push the seatbelt tongue lower cover forward to disengage and open the cover.

Disassemble the lap belt from the seatbelt tongue.
- Push down on the lap belt spring clip.
- Remove the pin.
- Pull the lap belt through the seatbelt tongue cover.
All vehicles
- Remove the retainer and the outboard cushion side shield.

NOTE: If the tether clip is damaged during removal, a new clip must be installed prior to installation of the panel.NOTE: During installation make sure to install the clip by the scuff plate trim panel first and work upward on the trim panel to connect the other clips.
Remove the C-pillar trim panel.
- Release the clips.
- Release the tether clip and remove the C-pillar trim panel.
