B-Pillar Trim Panel - SuperCrew: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Upper and Lower B-Pillar Trim Panels 

  1. Remove the front door scuff plate trim panel.

    1. Release the clips and remove the front door scuff plate trim panel.
    2. If equipped. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  2. Release the clips and remove the rear door scuff plate trim panel.

  3. Position aside the front door weatherstrip.

  4. Position aside the rear door weatherstrip.

  5. Release the clips and disengage the safety belt pretensioner boot from the pretensioner bezel.

  6. Remove the pretensioner bezel.

  7. Release the clips and remove the lower B-pillar trim panel.

    Upper B-Pillar Trim Panel 

  8. Remove the safety belt D-ring bolt and position aside the front safety belt.

    1. Remove the safety belt D-ring trim cover.
    2. Remove the safety belt D-ring bolt and position aside the front safety belt.

      Torque

      : 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

  9. Remove the assist handle.

    1. Remove the assist handle bolt covers.
    2. Remove the bolts.

      Torque

      : 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

    3. Remove the assist handle.

  10. Release the clips.

  11. Pull down on the upper B-pillar trim panel.

  12. NOTE: The trim panel must be positioned downward to allow the upper clips to release correctly. Failure to follow this may cause damage to the trim panel.

    Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel.
