Front Seat Track Motor: Removal

NOTE: Driver seat shown, passenger seat similar.
  1. NOTE: Positioning the seat fully upward provides access to service the seat track motor with the seat in the vehicle.

    Move the front seat to the full upward position.

  2. Depower the SRS. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering .
  3. Disconnect the seat harness electrical connector(s).

    1. Detach the wire harness from the pin-type retainer.
    2. Release the locking tab(s) and rotate the position assurance lever(s).

  4. Detach the seat track wire harness connector retainer(s) from the seat track motor.

  5. NOTE: Seat track components are removed for clarity.

    Disconnect the seat track motor electrical connector, detach the wire harness retainers and position the wire harness aside.

  6. NOTE: Seat track components and wiring harnesses are removed for clarity.

    Remove the front seat track motor.

    1. Remove the bolts.
    2. Position the long seat track motor drive cable out of the seat track gearbox.
